So another Rainbow mini swap is all done and dusted for me. Can’t wait for the next – I LOVE this swap. This gorgeous mini arrived for me today from my lovely partner (who will be known to so many of you already!) Fiona, from The Sewing Directory.
Isn’t it just gorgeous! I can’t tell you how much I love it. Fantastic colours (colourwash style quilts are amongst my favourites) and lots of them, with that gorgeous wavy quilting setting it all off. I am trying to decide where I am going to put it for maximum effect, but for the meantime, it is brightening up my sewing space no end.
Fi spoiled me with lots of goodies – thread, a massive scrap pack, choccies (of course!) and a wonderful awesome owl that doubles as a tool saver plus a pincushion.
It was such a fantastic to parcel to receive on this very grey day.
I sent my finished mini-quilt to Anne, (aka @thenuttyknitter on IG), and for reasons which will eventually become clear, I am not going to share a full pic of the finished mini with you right now, but here’s my favourite section – I just loved adding some selvedge (selvage) to the binding. Anne loves it, so I’m happy!
Thanks go Kate (the wonderful @katebasti on IG) for organising this fabulous brightly coloured swap!
