My new sponsor: Cloud Craft (and anyone fancy a swap?)

Cloud Craft

Lovely Nicole, who owns and runs Cloud Craft, started small on Etsy with a gorgeous selection of 100% wool felt, and her shop has just grown and grown, so much so that she now has her own gorgeous web shop. There’s still loads of gorgeous wool felt, there are 1mm single sheets in (I think!) over 50 colours and a smaller (but perfectly formed) range of 3mm thick felt. Nicole also curates some fabulous bundles, if you are short of colour matching inspiration:

In a natural development from wool felt, Cloud Craft can now supply you with everything you could possibly need to indulge your hand stitching habit. If you want something to sew on there is Zweigart linen evenweave and Aida, as you would expect, but also fab goodies like stitchable buttons and faux leather bracelets for stitching :                                                                                                                                                                    Stitchable plastic button - small white   Bracelet for stitching - pink

There are all kinds of threads – DMC stranded cotton and cotton perlé – but how wonderful is that Nicole has gone the extra mile and matched up stranded cotton threads to felt, so that you can always be sure of getting the colour you need? And if that’s not enough amongst other things, Cloud Craft also stocks sets of Sublime Stitching Threads and my personal favourite (great to crochet with!), Namolio linen thread.

Cloud Craft is rather of a treasure trove, and I urge you to go out and check all the gorgeous ribbons, trims, buttons, stitching and embroidery kits… here’s just a little taster:Goodies from Cloud Craft

And the happy news is that there is 10% off with the code BERRY10 at Cloud Craft until 22 March. Enjoy it!

I indulged myself with the discount code to acquire (amongst other things 😉 ) an adorable little 5cm Dandelyne display hoop (you don’t actually use it for stitching!!):

And I was wondering if anyone would like to join me in a little mini hoop frame swap? Just to make a change from those rectangular Artist Trading Cards… Any textile art is admissible, and any size hoop as long as it is 5.5cm or less (which is pretty small!), and I am going to ask that participants have a public Instagram account… if you’re interested do say. I’m going to limit participants to 12 at the most, because I haven’t *really* got time to run it! And don’t worry ATC gang, there’ll be one of those along in the Spring!

Don’t forget that 10% discount code… BERRY10.

  1. Cloud Craft looks like a great shop, thanks for the introduction. I’d love to do a mini hoop swap if you aren’t limiting it to the UK. I’m a big fan of the Dandelyne hoops and have used several already. Making 1/6″ hexies to fir one was a challenge but a fun one all the same.
