I’m delighted to be giving away 5 pairs of tickets to the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts Show in Manchester (4-6 February), at Event City in Manchester (Trafford Park). I’ll be giving 3 pairs away here on my blog, and 2 pairs over on my Facebook page.
It sounds like a pleasingly diverse show, with everything from knitting, jewellery making, papercraft, cardmaking, sewing and quilting – it sounds like the perfect opportunity for craft lovers to stock up on supplies and find plenty of inspiration for future projects. There’ll be over one hundred stalls, free workshops and lots of demos too.
I know a lot of you reading out there will be interested in the quilty/stitchy/textile/woolly aspects of the show, and there are some really tempting attractions, including the amazing art quilt maker Pat Archibald, and Gai Button, needle felter extraordinaire, and the fabulous textile artist Jennie Rayment (eek – I am such a fan). The Contemporary Quilt Group will be there, as will the Quilters’ Guild touring exhibition – “Lost in a Quilter’s Garden”, and there will be a display of a stunning collection of costumes from the recent film ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’.
Spending wise there’s loads of great options to part with a wads of cash – Abakahn, my friends at Black Sheep Wools, purveyors of stunning artisan wool tweed, Fabric Affair, novelty fabric specialists Fabrics at Fleetwood, the Sew Direct pattern boutique, Little Laura’s Haberdashery, and much more!
Leave a comment if you’d like to be in with a chance of winning. I will make the draw on Thursday (Jan 28) evening, to give me time to get the tickets out to you. If you don’t win, but would still like to go, ticket prices are as follows:
Adult £10 (£8 Advance Price); Senior £9 (£7 Advance Price); Children free if accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket, otherwise £3.00. All advanced tickets need to be ordered by 5pm, 1 February
