I’ve been busy with my Sizzix Big Shot this afternoon, cutting lots of lovely hexagons, and finding loads of my old favourite fabrics as I sorted through my scrap box(es) for bits and pieces I could feed through the die cutter.
This is all in preparation for Sew Saturday – tomorrow!
Sew Saturday is all about supporting your local real life fabric/haberdashery store – which means that a fabulous excuse to go shopping for fabric has just fallen into your lap. It’s your duty to get out there, you know it is! There are special events (many involving cake….) taking place at fabric shops all over the country – all you need to do is browse the interactive map and find out what’s local to you.
I am popping up to see the lovely folks at the Black Sheep Wools Craft Barn and will be doing a little bit of demonstrating of English Paper Piecing, and using a Sizzix Big Shot to cut hexies and hexie papers for piecing. So, if you are in the Warrington/Wigan/west Manchester area, why not pop in and say hello. The Craft Barn is a lovely welcoming place with loads of gorgeous fabrics, yarns and all kinds of craft goodies. And a café which does the most wonderful cream scones… (just in case meeting me is not quite enough for you), so what’s stopping you? Hope to see you tomorrow!
