Nearly swap time again & an Essex linen giveaway

It is nearly time for the summer textile Artist Trading Card swap to start… I can’t believe we are here already, but July is nearly with us. I will be announcing the theme (I am currently trying to decide between a couple of options!) and sign ups will begin on Friday, so make sure you call back then if you want to join in. And if you are not sure what an ATC is, then you can check my intro to the last swap.

I am really pleased to let you know that we have a sponsor for this, our seventh (seventh!) swap – Nicole, who owns the fantastic needlecraft emporium Cloud Craft has very kindly offered to support us.

Cloud Craft

I highly recommend having a browse (and maybe a little spending spree!) at Cloud Craft – it’s really obvious that great care and attention is being paid to selecting all the yummiest supplies for contemporary hand stitching. And Nicole posts worldwide, so don’t let that put you off! For the duration of the swap (and starting right now!) you can get 10% off at Cloud Craft with the code ATC.

Since Cloud Craft last sponsored the swap, Nicole has added loads of great fun new goodies – including embroidery mini hoops from Dandelyneleather bracelets for stitching (and loads of other fun stuff to stitch on too), and jewellery findings for displaying your stitchy works of art. Nicole also deserves a round of encouraging applause because she is currently in the horrific-sounding process of getting all 400 plus colours of the DMC stranded cotton range into the shop! What an achievement that will be! And if you are looking for an awesome new project, Cloud Craft also stocks a lovely range of hand stitching kits – including Kiriki, What Delilah Did and Floss & Mischief.

Another new addition to the Cloud Craft stock are Essex Linens from Robert Kaufman. Happily for stitchers, the cuts available are as small as a Fat 16th, which is the ideal size for an 8″ embroidery hoop. To celebrate, Nicole has very very kindly donated a giveaway prize of a Fat Quarter of each of the 9 colours/shades of Essex linen that Cloud Craft stocks:

Now doesn’t that get your mouth watering?!

  • This giveaway will end on Monday 29th June, and I will announce the winner on Tuesday 30th.

  21. Thank you for a great giveaway. I have just had a look at the shop and am thrilled to find that I can now buy my sewing and cross stitching supplies altogether. Many shops specialise in just one or the other but buying together saves on postage and needing to trawl lots of websites. x
