Very Berry Saturday…

Today in Very Berry Land…

…I wrapped and posted 7 parcels to lovely Very Berry customers (sorry, no pic of post box!)

…I made Natal Kidney Bean Curry to stock up the freezer. Fantastic recipe by my favourite food writer, Madhur Jaffrey..

Very Berry Saturday 1

…I baked 12 teacakes and 16 chocolate chip milk buns (recipe by the brilliant Dan Lepard) for the kids’ weekday breakfasts…

Very Berry Saturday 2

…I wore out the dog with a trip to the park (please ignore our truly awful carpet and concentrate on the cute fluffy puppy)…

Very Berry Saturday 3

…and I cut and photographed some lovely goodies for the Very Berry Fabrics:

Satisfying but rather tiring, so I am officially giving myself the evening off… Telly and sewing for me! What have you been doing with your Saturday?

  1. That’s my kind of curry and those milk buns look good. I’ve been mostly hanging out the washing and then running to rescue it from the downpours! I did get a little creative time to plan out my big star quilt top. I also chose some fabric to make your art wrap.

  2. fInished off two magnetic bookmarks using your tutorial, had a bash at a patchwork pincushion and watched a tutorial about log cabin blocks. Planted out my peppers in the polytunnel and potted up two geranium planters, made dinner cleaned and ironed ……. Nice glass of wine, walk round the garden with the cat and so to bed!

  3. Yes, agreed – love the fabrics. I bought some fat quarters today (lights and darks) to do some patchwork. Also, in between the showers, we made the trip to Lowestoft for a fish and chip lunch – scrummy!
