A happy post day

The postie bought me a little parcel this morning…. I love a surprise! Inside I found this little piece of art:

Miss Lizzie's new start

It’s a beautiful portrait of Lizzie Bennett and everyone’s favourite love interest, Mr Darcy, made by Geraldine, one of the ATC swap participants, as a thank you for organising the swap. I love it, especially as it reminds me of Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, who will always by Lizzie Bennett and Mr Darcy for me.  Thanks so much Geraldine, I really appreciate your generosity, especially as you have also been a very kind Swap Angel too.

Then, later on, another ring of the doorbell, and a courier has brought me another parcel! Look at these lovely goodies:

Fabrics from Ochre & Ochre

It’s a beautiful bundle of organic cotton from Ochre & Ocre. I am going to be a Creative Blogger for Ochre & Ocre for the next few months – there will be regular posts, giving ideas of ways to use these gorgeous prints. I am so excited to receive the fabrics – I am full of ideas already!

Hope you all have had a lovely Saturday too, whether you were blessed with parcels or not!

  1. Lovely ATC! So thoughtfully designed and sewn! I have missed joining in to the swap this time. I was over-committed and under-energized. I really have enjoyed seeing what did come of it and I hope to take part again if you run it again.

  2. What wonderful post to receive. The ATC is really beautiful and the fabrics are wonderful. I look forward to seeing what you make with them.

  3. I love happy post. The ATC is just amazing, I knew who it was straight away. Geraldine certainly has talent along with kindness. Gorgeous fabric too.

We always love reading your comments... go ahead, say hello!
