Third ATC Round Up

It has been a tricky swap this time round, I’m not sure why, maybe third time unlucky? Sadly, in spite of all the cards having been sent, there are still 5 or 6 swappers who are waiting to receive an ATC, and I’ve already had to deploy two extremely kind Angels. However, I am determined that everyone will get a card eventually – keep your fingers crossed it all works out in the end… On the upside, there has been some amazing creativity, which certainly makes up for the trickiness.

The theme vote (between ‘Spring’ and ‘Books’) was so close (only one vote in it!), that I decided we should use both – and split the swappers into 2 groups – it has been such fun having cards from two different themes appearing in the ATC Swap Flickr group. I really urge you to take a look. So hard to choose because they are all so fab, but these are some of my favourites:

Larisa's spring lambs

Larisa’s sweet little lambs – Larisa stepped in as an Angel – thanks!

Sue T's Bluebell Wood

 Sue T’s beautiful Bluebell Wood

Lisa's beautiful flower

 Lisa’s pretty vintage spring flowers

Sian's washing line

Sian’s fabulous spring washing line – aren’t the jeans just fab?!

The Secret Garden by Sue D

Sue D’s fabulous take on The Secret Garden

Old Man and the Sea by Louise

An atmospheric take on The Old Man and the Sea by Louise

Books and tea by Tracy

Once Upon A Time by Tracy – you can’t beat a cuppa and a good book!

Crime Scene by Becca

Crime Scene (a tribute to the crime genre) by Becca (another lovely Angel – thanks Becca!)

Geraldine's Jane Austen card

Jane Austen themed card by Geraldine (I have a real soft spot for this one because it makes me think of my favourite character, Anne Elliot, from my favourite book, Persuasion)

There will be another swap along in July – so if you want to join in, please do subscribe to Very Berry Handmade, and you will be in with a good chance of getting one of the highly sought-after places.

  1. These are fantastic. So imaginative and I didn’t realize what could be done so now I will have some ideas to play with. I do have a question though. What is an “ATC”? 🙂

    1. Hi there – good question! ATC stands for Artist Trading Card, and is a little original piece of art, about the size of a business card or credit card, that can be swapped, sold, or just made and enjoyed!

  2. Ali, thank you so much for the 3rd swap! It’s been a fantastic experience again. I really enjoyed checking out the progress of all participants and seeing the final beautiful cards. So many creative and talented people! I am going to subscribe right now so I don’t miss out on the next swap. 🙂

  3. So many talented ladies (I think all are ladies anyway!) I have made a second one in case it’s needed anywhere – or I can just keep it myself!

  4. These are incredible. There must be some very happy people out there too after receiving them. Anne Elliot is my favourite jane Austen character too!

  5. Ooh these cards are beautiful! I loved the book theme for this swap! Some people are so creative and talented! Thanks for organising the swap! I hope all of the cards arrive safely soon!
