Lots of lovely things..

The postie delivered my copy of the 1st official edition of Love Patchwork and Quilting this morning. I am so impressed (many ooohs of delight from me!) and really hope that the team can maintain this high standard. There are so  many great projects, and the design is encouragingly bright, bold and modern (I  might have pinched that from somewhere).

So obviously, I am totally biased because I (or at least Very Berry Fabrics!) am in it! Yay!

Very Berry Fabrics, Liberty Lawn for everyone!

Only kidding… it’s because of all these fab projects… Katy’s amazing cotton reel quilt:

These sweet little cushions – I LOVE these – by Allison Harris.

How cute are these bunnies by Jane Foster?

So that was an exciting start to the day…!

But if we’re talking about cuteness, what about this little guy? Introducing Barney, who will be moving in with us in a couple of weeks.

Coming to us very soon... Barney!

No doubt Very Berry Handmade will become The Further Adventures of Barney, so I apologise in advance for that (maybe some of you might like it better that way 😉 ). He is our very first family dog, a Papillon x Cocker spaniel, and, as you can see, he is rather gorgeous. We are very excited, and, honest to god, I have spent more money on goodies for this little chap than I ever did before my boys arrived… But really, could you resist him?

  1. My copy arrived the other day too, and I’m embarrassed to say it’s still in its wrapping on a pile of other mags waiting for the heyday/holiday that I’ll stop and read them *ahem*

Barney is very cute though, and he’s got the puppy dog eyes down pat…

    1. Thanks Kerry – am I not a breed expert at all, but we had a spaniel when I was a kid so I feel on safe-ish ground. We are buying from a breeder who is working really hard to create healthy spaniels and I am so please to be supporting her work. 🙂 Am I right in thinking I have seen a lovely spaniel on your blog? xx

      1. Yes I am busy, hardly time to read my fav blogs or to make things just for pleasure, if you know anyone who would like to come to the country living magazine Xmas fair in London send them to my blog to leave a comment, I have two complimentary tickets left and no takers yet 🙂

  2. Can’t wait to get a copy of the magazine, it looks great. Barney is adorable, we bought our first dog 2 years ago and cannot imagine life without him now.

  3. I spotted you in the magazine yesterday! Your puppy is so cute, I think I could cope with seeing more photos of him 😉

  4. Yay – well done for getting a shout out in the magazine – you deserve it for bringing us well-priced Liberty 🙂

We always love reading your comments... go ahead, say hello!
