ATC swap round up…

Well, what an experience the first ever Artist Trading Card Swap was… there were a few downsides (one beautiful card lost in the post, and 2 naughty no-shows… I never thought I would have to keep a list of people who are barred from future swaps… very sad…), but the much more important and amazing upside was the wonderful creativity and stitchery that went on. Here are all the cards that I could manage to get into a mosaic from our ATC Flickr group. I am so sorry to those I have missed – there were a couple of pics that just wouldn’t show up on the mosaic, no matter what I did…  Thanks to everyone who worked so hard and created such loveliness.

Thanks to all (well, almost all) of you for making it a lovely experience, and extra-special thanks to Catherine and Natalie for stepping in as Swap Angels – it was very very much appreciated.  I have learned masses from this swap, and want to thank everyone for their patience with me, especially when I forgot to ask you all for your postal address on the original sign up form… *rolleyes*…  Next swap is planned for mid-September, all being well.  Looking forward to it immensely!

  1. Hi,
I am a member of Handmade Uk and also a member of the ATC swap group there. Are you the same Very berry who left comments as well? I did offerer to help with that group but then I lost my Dad to cancer and due to things after that I ever went back to it.
I shall certainly keep an eye out for next month. I have taken part in other Atc swaps since but still keen to do more.
Glad I caught up with you and the standard I have seen on this post is excellent!

    1. Hi Andrea – I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Yes I am the same Very Berry, and I really hope you can join in with the next ATC swap – it won’t be long now, I don’t think. 🙂

  7. Really impressive – hard to pick out a favourite, but I’m inspired to try out some reverse applique on something. I’d love to have a fraction of everyone’s talent.

  8. I think we should all give you a massive “thank you” for all your hard work and
co-ordination. It was really fun and I’m looking forward to the next one. The cards are fantastic and I love how we have all interpreted the theme in such different ways.
Pity about the 2 non swaps, so the swap-angels went above and beyond.

  9. Hi Ali, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…thanks so much for organising this. The cards look great all together, looking forward to the next one 🙂
