A Moo Giveaway!

Much excitement this morning when the postie finally made it through the snow. Look what arrived – parcels from MOO!

MOO goodies

I have been buying my business cards from MOO.com for a long time now. So I was totally delighted, when a very nice chap called Dan got in touch to ask if I’d like to review a couple of MOO products that I haven’t used before. Β It was one of those times when it is very easy to say yes! Β He also asked if I’d like to host a giveaway with 3 fabulous prizes… another big YES from me, of course… (read on!)

So, with my own personal MOO voucher I chose to order some postcards and some stickers. When people order from Very Berry Fabrics, I like to enclose a little card giving advice about how to sew with Liberty lawn. Up until now, I’ve been printing these out on blank index cards, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to try a snazzy, glossy version! I also thought some postcards of my own handmade stuff would be great too – always useful when I make sales from my handmade shop, and for enclosing with swap parcels and the like.

What I really love about ordering business cards from MOO is that their Printfinity technology allows me to load and use different images on my cards – I can have a different image on every card if I wanted. I was dead pleased to discover that this applies to postcards too. Here are my finished designs:

My lovely MOO postcards

I think they look fab – I am SO pleased with the finish, the colours and the clarity. I was a little bit nervous about how the text on my Very Berry Fabrics cards would turn out – I didn’t want it to look blurred. But these totally pass the fuzzy test.

You can also choose your own reverse layout from the options that MOO provide. I went with this simple, but I hope stylish, layout.

My second product choice was some rectangular stickers. I was hugely tempted to get some more business-related things, but I thought I would share MOO’s generosity around a bit, and decided to treat my sons a little bit. They are both Nintendo obsessed, and their current game of choice is Paper Mario Sticker Star (don’t ask, I have no idea!). Tom drew some pictures of Paper Mario stickers a while back, and I thought they would be fab made into actual stickers. The process was really easy – you just upload your images, make sure they fit on the sticker, and you’re away. And once again you can have as many different designs as you like (hope you can recognise Bowser, Luigi, Mario, Peach and the Shy Guy Mexican Band…).

Cute eh? The boys were completely delighted to see their favourite characters on REAL stickers. Once again, the quality is fantastic – the colours are brilliant, and the stickers are properly sticky. I have had to ration them a bit today, or they would have been stuck over everything! I now have lots of ideas for creating more stickers for their birthdays and Christmas stocking fillers… Thanks MOO!Β

So now, to the bit you’ve been waiting for…

The Giveaway

  • There are three brilliant prizes. The Grand prize winner will receive a set of 50 Classic Business card and 20 Postcards (choosing their own designs) and two runners up will receive a set of 50 Classic Business Cards each (again choosing their own designs).
  • Just leave a comment to be entered into the draw. As usual, ‘pick me’ will do, but if you want to say something more exciting, tell me who you would have liked pictured on a sticker when you were 9 years old…. For me it was probably Sting (oh dear – but it was his heyday).
  • The giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere in the world.
  • I will do the draw and and announce the winners on Monday April 1st… So get your comments in before lunchtime on Monday to be in the draw.

Good Luck!

  3. I love all the Moo options and I could spend a fortune on professional stationery just because I like it πŸ™‚

I can’t remember who I liked when I was 9 – probably Michael Praed or Adam Ant. I went through a lot of phases!

  4. I just tried Moo for the first time a few months ago and got business cards which I loved πŸ™‚ Would love the chance to win some more.

I can’t even remember what I was into when I was 9, except I was a big Enid Blyton fan so perhaps famous 5 stickers.

My 9 years old self will love any fairy tales creatures stickers! ❀
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. When I was 9 my idea of sticker heaven would’ve been a selection of cats, with maybe a couple of horses thrown in for good measure. And possibly a Bay City Roller or two!

  7. Cute stickers! I think my 9-year-old self would have liked Rick Astley stickers. Oh that baby face, quiffed hair and deep, deep voice. I was in love…

  8. I really need to think more about my little business extras, so thanks for the review! I think 9-year-old me would have wanted teddy bears πŸ˜€

  9. It would have to be a scratch’n’sniff sticker at that age, any smell would be fine – maybe washed Liberty Lawn?

  10. Thanks for the chance to win Ali! When I was 9 it would have probably been Adam Ant! Probably still would be him now actually…..sigh! Still gorgeous at 58 years old! xxxx

  17. I think I would have wanted John Taylor from Duran Duran – haha! Either that or some kind of Athena related imagery, like a hamburger or a shattering cocktail glass – whatever happened to Athena??? Thanks for the chance to win πŸ™‚

  18. I would love to win, my 9 year old self probably would of gone for take that – the spice girls, I was obsessed – girl power whoop!!

  19. It Would love to be alouisius, the teddy bear from Brideshead revisited for me! I love moo btw. The sticker books are great too :). Pick meeeeeeee!! Please!

  20. I’m not sure who it would have been that I would have liked on a sticker. I did collect stickers back then though. I actually still have my sticker books with the collection in them. I always loved the scratch and sniff ones. Thanks for a great giveaway. Please include me in the draw.

  21. Oh dear! Don’t believe I’m admitting this, but when I was 9, if I have to say “Who” rather than a less real character, I’d have just been developing a crush on David Bowie. In his Labyrinth goblin king persona. Sting doesn’t sound too embarrassing now, does he?!

  22. Awww – the Moo people are so very kind! I’ve so far only ordered one set of mini moo business cards and have wanted to try the stickers for ages. I’m on their mailing list so I hear about all the wonderful things they do πŸ™‚ Oh and – PICK ME PICK ME!!! xx

  23. I probably would have tried to draw Adam Ant to go on a sticker and done it very badly! My kids would love stickers of their own design, they love to draw! Thanks for the give away!

  24. Love the stickers – I’d have them made with pics of my kids so they can identify their own stuff – at the moment we’re arguing over who’s Easter eggs are who’s!
    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  25. Oh my those stickers are probably 10 million times better than those make your own with a machine (a child in this house got one for Christmas – it was terribly disappointing!). I love Moo products and do have my own stickers, what I’d really like is postcards next…thanks x

  26. Yay i’d love more Moo in my life!! When I was 9 I loved the ‘This belongs to…. ‘ stickers and of course stuck them everywhere! I love it when I find something now that i’ve passed to my little girl with my kiddie writing on – love it x

  27. I love Moo! But I have no idea who I would have had on a sticker so loooooong ago. I do love my ‘I quilt so I won’t kill’ stickers I got made from Moo! I think they say it all. Thanks for the chance to win.

  28. Yet another brilliant giveaway from Very Berry! I use Moo for business cards too and I would love to win time of their postcards. They’d be great for promoting my first short story I intend to have ready to publish in Kindle in the Summer. It’s called ‘Hats Off To Murder’ and an excerpt can be found here http://www.aurorascriptoria.co.uk/page_2863788.html if you’re interested. Perhaps I would have the characters from the novel on stickers. Happy sticking!

  29. Thanks for the chance to win Ali! My 9 year old self would have wanted the Beatles Yellow Submarine stickers, very groovy!

  30. Pick me, pick me!!

At nine I think I would still have been asking for fairies or pixies but I can’t really remember what I liked when I was nine. Oh! I’ve just remembered, it would have been care bears! Oh, there’s a blast from the past, thanks for that!

P.S. I love the Mario stickers!

  31. I would love to be able to give moo cards back to all the lovely ladies who gave me theirs at fqr last year!

  32. I probably would have put Winnie the Pooh (the classic version not Disney!) on a sticker when I was 9. Might even be tempted to do the same now πŸ˜‰ !

  33. Oh I love your stickers, my kids would go crazy for those!
I, on the other hand, at 9 would probably have asked for Gary Glitter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. 9 years old…seems a long time ago… I was such a book worm and addicted to the Famous Five..which leads me to – Timmy the dog! (I was also dog mad). David Bowie overtook all that some time later! x

  35. I’ve seen Moo cards before and they always look great, I even, once, started the process to design my own but didn’t complete for some reason. When I was 9 I would probably have liked to have the Double Deckers on a sticker πŸ™‚
    Teresa x

  36. I love Moo too! When I was 9 it would have been Elvis, Elvis and probably a bit more Elvis! The first record I bought that wasn’t Elvis, was Ride a White Swan and I felt adulterous!
