I had such a great time at the Country Living Spring Fair yesterday – I spent far too much money (Liberty blouse? Yes please!), and LOVED browsing all the gorgeous stands, but I also got to do loads of chatting and networking – it was great fun. I’m hoping to share some of my favourite sellers in posts over the next couple of days. In the meantime I have a backlog of stuff I want to share with you before my information goes completely out of date…..
So first up is the imminent launch of a new craft magazine…
I’m quite often vaguely disappointed when I buy a craft magazine. Very often they are too pink, too girly, too shabby chic for me, and although the pictures and projects sometimes provide a bit of interest, there aren’t enough articles that get me thinking and inspire me, or ideas that seem original and new. That’s why it’s good to hear of the imminent arrival of Crafty Magazine – which, according to its own brief, will provide stylish and inventive projects that still leave us with chance to use or own imagination. This all sounds very positive…
Looking at the website and having a good browse through the sample issue, things are looking good. There’s an edgy quality to the content, and it’s definitely not girly or twee.
I’m looking forward to my issue arriving very soon – the first issue is out on March 28th.
News from Very Berry Fabrics
My last lot of patchwork packs at Very Berry Fabrics (I was number 2 in the Folksy bestseller chart for a minute there!) sold out so quickly that I didn’t have a chance to tell anyone about them. So, this time, hot off the press, I have 2 different patchwork packs in stock right now:
First up there a twenty piece 4″ pack:
and then a mini-pack of ten 5″ pieces:
With the 5″ squares I tried to go for pretty spring/Easter colours…. maybe that’s why we have 4″ of snow outside??! Madness… but at least I have an excuse to stay in and sew tomorrow – there’s no way I can wash the greenhouse is there?
