I Heart Wool Felt: A giveaway!

As promised, I have some lovely wool felt to give away today. The goodies are provided by Nicole, who runs the lovely-looking Etsy shop Cloud Craft, where she sells wool felt in 44 different colours (wow! – you can get a real idea of all the colours just here), and in a range of useful sizes too. It’s a smooth, thinner-than-the-usual felt (around 1.5mm), and it’s very evenly dyed (which can be a problem with some wool felt). It’s also certified to be free of toxins and meets the European toy standards. There’s lots of different ways to buy in Nicole’s shop – from single sheets to fab themed bundles, like this great combo called “Wisteria Lane”:

I love the great value little scrap pack too:

You can also find Cloud Craft on Facebook and on Twitter too.

Nicole has provided this lovely bundle of felt with a Valentines theme for the giveaway (here’s the bigger version in the shop), and the gorgeous heart ribbon trim (also sold at Cloud Craft) is included in the giveaway:

Good luck!

  13. Hi, well I came thinking some heart bunting would be lovely in those colours – just like so many of your commenters, but then I read other commenters and got carried away – maybe some beautiful birds, like gone rustic, or maybe some beautiful flower corsages. Proper wool felt is just so lovely to handle.

  14. Just my colours! I want to make a mobile for my sister baby who is due in April with flying elephants and hearts hanging from it x

  15. I would make a Valentine felt doll for my grandaughter the other side of the world – I have already sent her too many hearts and too much bunting to decorate her room.

  16. I would love to make pincushions and needlebooks with the felts…I can draw up a long list of people that I could give them to as gifts. Thanks for the giveway!

  17. I have so many pretty felt project pinned, I might find it difficult to choose! Some pretty felt hearts? or a felt envelope for a Valentine Day note?

  18. Love the colours in this bundle! I think I would either make a string of hearts or a doll in a cute little valentine themed dress ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. I haven’t ever seen wool felt, but the colours are amazing! I need to make a name tag for our new modern quilt guild, and this may be just what I’m looking for! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

  20. I’d use this lovely felt to make a Valentine owl brooch or two or more for my friends and cards for my husband and sons.

  21. Something appliqued and lavender filled to go in with my smalls (present to me as Valentines is near my birthday so it always gets forgotten), and a little bit of heart and bird shape bunting for my daughter.

  22. I would make a pincushion. I have a wool felt handmade pin cushion already and it is the best pin cushion I own (it was a gift) so I would love to make a few for a few people who deserve a treat.

    1. Recently I have made little felt zipped purses with felt hearts appliqued on them. I have given some away to friends daughters and they went down well!. I would love to make some more of these cuties!. Thanks for the chance to win xxx

  23. In agreement with others in that I would make (padded) felt hearts, embellished with cross-stitch, attached to ribbon. Hey Presto! Valentine’s bunting. Thanks for the giveaway. I will def check out the shop as my last wool felt purchases were slightly patchy in colour.

  24. Wow, the felt looks lovely. I’m going to use it to make little felt boxes I can put some chocolates in to give to random people on Valentines ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. I think I would make lots of little stuffed hearts to hang on some white painted branches in a vase on the table. The felt looks lovely – it’s a great giveaway.

  26. I love the colours she stocks! Simply gorgeous. I have added the shop to my Etsy favourites.

And my Valentines story is the funniest gift I ever got. I was about to leave for a six month backpacking trip around Europe (I was in Canada at the time) and the holiday was going to include a two week adventure tour of Morocco. So my boyfriend gave me a map so I wouldn’t get lost, camel cigarettes for bartering, and a box of black hair dye as I was a blond back then and he thought it would be better if I ‘blended in’.
