My shop front window over at Folksy is looking a bit like a beautiful Liberty quilt because I’ve been stocking up with patchwork packs. How much would I like to make a simple strippy quilt with the huge number of VERY small Liberty scraps I create every day? It’s one of my resolutions for 2013 – remind me on 1st December will you?
The snow plus sunshine weather has meant some great light for taking photos, and I made the most of it, so there are some nice packs available, with a fair bit of variety and colour. Hope you like them!
In the mean time my house is filling up with fabric that I am buying for myself. As fast as the stuff leaves, more takes its place… How does that happen. I got some great goodies in the M is for Make sale (brilliant selection – very hard to choose!), some Moda crossweaves from The Eternal Maker (great fabric, so useful and smashing colours – I love solids with a bit of texture), and some French General Petite Odile (which I have been coveting for AGES) at Hulu, oh yeah, and slipped in some ever-useful tiny polkadot linens from My Fabric House. Phew… And then, this morning, I got a GORGEOUS parcel of fabric goodies from one of my fave shops, Gudrun Sjoden. It really is time to write a To Do list for all this fabric… which suggests that Liberty quilt might be moving on to the 2014 list!
What have you been buying to cheer up January?
