I got lots of goodies in the post this week… My beautiful Mouthy Stitches 2 tote bag arrived all the way from lovely Annabella in Morocco (a word I have learned to spell since exchanging swaps with her!):
I am so absolutely delighted with it – this beautiful scrappy block is just the kind of thing I like, and I love the contrasting black central squares and linen background fabric. I am particularly enamoured with the lovely wavy line quilting, which you can just about see in the pics (should have done a close-up, silly me). It is really stunning, and I can’t wait to start using it properly…
I also got a surprise gift in the post yesterday (a day when I was much in need of cheering up, for various reasons) from Susan of Crafts Council on Folksy. She is a customer of Very Berry Fabrics, and has used some of my Liberty scraps to make some of her really cute badges and pocket mirrors. Look what she sent – I was so delighted, I pinned them on my jacket straight away!
I’m having a day off tomorrow to go to a workshop to make Fabric Banners at Unit Twelve – I am much looking forward to learning some new techniques and having the chance to experiment. And I will be taking my camera in my lovely new bag… thanks again to Annabella and to Susan for brightening up my week.
I also got lots of new Liberty fabrics to add to my stocks this week – so if you haven’t been round in a while, it’s worth having a look at what’s new in the shop. The draw for the winner of my Liberty Tana Lawn giveaway will be made tomorrow, so it’s your last chance to enter….
