More gorgeous fabric for you!

I’m really pleased to be hosting a giveaway for Dragonfly Fabrics this week – it’s such a lovely shop, with lots of goodies to interest quilters and dressmakers alike!

Dragonlyfly Fabrics Logo

Dragonfly Fabrics was set up 2 years ago by Dorte and Simon. Dorte studied fashion design in Germany and then moved to London, working as a pattern cutter for Vivienne Westwood and a number of other designers. After leaving London she started  teaching sewing and soon realised the difficulty of getting good quality dressmaking fabric for her classes and for herself… so she started sourcing fabrics from Germany and then worldwide. The pile of fabrics grew ever larger in their studio so Dorte and her photographer husband Simon decided to start up the shop (a great way of dealing with an out of control fabric stash!). Dorte is always happy to help with questions regarding fabrics or making items with the fabric that they stock.

I wont go on too much about the lovely fabrics you’ll find at Dragronfly – please go and have a look for yourself. And don’t buy all the Anna Maria Horner flannels because I want them for myself!!

The Giveaway

Dorte and Simon are generously offering two prizes….

Prize 1: You can either select 5 Fat Quarters of your own choice from the shop OR if that’s just too much for you (!) will get this lovely Joel Dewberry bundle:

  1. This summer I made a nightie and blouse in Forest Birds, I’ve got a dress cut out in Teal Biolinen. I like the Dewberry bundle, or any of the medium weight cottons in blues/greens.

  2. I love this Joel Dewberry bundle too! The colours are gorgeous. I have already liked Dragonfly Fabrics on facebook so let’s hope I’m a lucky winner!

  3. Hallo – so happy to have found you through Dragonfly’s newsletter! I have fallen totally in love with Valori Wells’ “Jenaveve Cotton Linen” range. Not my usual colour-attraction at all but I think this range is just beautiful. I’m very new to quilting so looking forward to building up my stash of fabrics for various quilting / mixed media projects. Also liked BOTH of you on FB this morn 🙂

  4. Oh I love Tilda’s Kitchengarden bundle!! Love the colour combo thanks so much for the lovely giveaway!! Pati x

  5. What a great giveaway, and very glad to have found your blog. If I was lucky enough to win, I’d have a really hard time choosing between Westfalenstoffe’s ‘Princess Flowers’ and ‘Princess Flower Circles’, and Dena Designs ‘Manchester Pink’ and ‘Ashford Blue Birds’. There are so many others too, but I have already bought them!

  6. Dragonfly have so many gorgeous fabrics! I’d be torn between choosing some AMH voiles/flannels and the yummy Westfalenstoffe Kitzbuehel range. Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. Tina Givens- Lilliput Fields without a doubt, the vibrancy of the purple and yellows that are used is so invigorating, just what I would need for a wee treat of a crafty production night to spoil my self as the weather gets colder to help me keep warmer inside 🙂 xXx Popping over to Facebook now xXx

  9. I just can’t decide which fabric I’d add so I got my daughter to choose one and she likes Anna Maria Horner’s Little folks voile coloring garden dusk fabric, but they are all lovely x

  12. Woohooo!! What a fab giveaway. Thanks so much for the chance to win. I think I’d go for some of the Westfalenstoffe. The Classic or the Kitzbuhel. Have just ordered my first Blythe clones off the ‘net – one for me and one for daughter – and could make some amazing clothes for them.

  13. Oooh, exciting to find a new good fabric shop out there! My first choice would have to be the Westfalenstoffe Forest Deer – SO CUTE! – and maybe just more from that same line. Seriously, so adorable and cozy wintery! Thanks for the giveaway chance!

  14. I really like the flower velveteen grey cotton. I’d have to choose that one! (And I’m nof even a flowery kind of girl!)

  27. Just looked at all of the gorgeous fabrics! If I could pick my own they would be: Red and Blue hen on white, Red & Blue pony and nature hearts red all from the Westfanenstoffe Classics range – LOVE! Or the red gingham organic cotton or finally all or any from the Valori Wells Jenaveve Cotton Linen or Cocoon ranges! Just had a fabric sweat come on after looking at this! 28. I would love to win the kitchengarden bundle – and I know just what I would make with it – Cheers and thanks for the blog xx

  29. I love the tilda kitchengrden bundle. Looks absolutely delicious. I have also like you on facebook and have become a follower.

  30. I would love any of these fabrics but the reindeer fleece is particularly appealing… must be thinking of all those presents that I must start making!

  31. I love nearly all of the Tilda fabrics – especially flowergarden and kitchengarden. I’m currently sewing miles of bunting for my wedding in spring, and am going with a faded, vintage vibe, so those fabrics would just fit right in!

  32. There are so many lovely pink and purple fabrics that I just don’t know which to choose – although the Algeciras in lilac and in pink are both lovely.

  33. Brilliant giveaway Ali, I was just comtemplating which fabrics from their site I want for my birthday. So I’ll ask for them here too just in case I win 😉

From the Kitzbuehel collection from Westfallenstoffe I would like forest deer, forest birds, forest leaves, squirrel and plain greyblue if I win please.

  34. Ooh! Another fabric shop from which to add to my ever growing stash. The Tilda fabrics are beautiful, I love their charming prints and pretty colours. Thanks for the promo as well.

  35. Ooh what a lovely giveaway!. I would be happy with either bundle, the Joel Dewberry is so cheery and I just love anything Tilda. Thanks for the chance to win xxx

  36. All the fabrics are gorgeous, I’m new to sewing so have found your blog and facebook page so inspirational. Thinking the book you reviewed recently will be on my Christmas list! In terms of fabric, gosh where to start? Loving them all!

  37. I love the Joel Dewberry bundle as is, I don’t have many fabrics in that colour so it would fill a gap in my stash! Thanks for the give away!
