Facing Up To Reality: The Giveaway!

So.. despite the fact that I haven’t had my summer holiday yet (please keep your fingers crossed that we have a bit of late summer warmth at the end of September!), it’s time to face up to the knowledge that Christmas will be upon us before we know it. If you’re like me and enjoy making/need to make presents for folks, then it’s time to get started (although I know the uber-organized will have started months ago…).

Just as I was fretting about this, with superb timing, Rhiannon, of The Sewing Boutique, got in touch to offer Very Berry readers a bit of Xmas prep help. Check out this lovely lot of Christmas sewing goodies:

Christmas Giveaway

There’s 4 FQs of Christmassy fabrics (including 2 from Michael Miller), a metre each of the green and red ‘Merry Christmas’ ribbon, and a lovely bundle of 7 different trims (2m of each). This lot is up for grabs to the lucky winner…

How to enter:

1. Leave a comment on this post – if you like you can tell us what Christmassy goodies you might make with the fabric, but as usual, it’s fine just to say ‘PICK ME!’.
2. Follow The Sewing Boutique on Facebook and leave a SECOND COMMENT on this blog post to tell us that you have (or that you already are a subscriber).
3. Follow the The Sewing Boutique blog (or add it to your blog reader) and leave a THIRD comment on this blog post to tell us about it.
4. Don’t try and squeeze 1,2 and 3 into one comment because you will lose your extra chances to win, it gets too complicated for me otherwise!
5. This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere.
6. I will announce the winner next Saturday, the 15th of September, so get your comments in before midnight on Friday 14th.

The other good news:

For the duration of the giveaway (so from the 7th to the 14th September) Very Berry readers can use the discount code VERYBERRY at the Sewing Boutique checkout to receive 15% off all items in the shop.

Let’s all shout a huge thank you to Rhiannon….

and good luck with the giveaway!

  1. Pick me! I really like the christmassy letters tutorial that Mary Emmens put on her blog last year. Last christmas I had hardly sewn a stitch – so maybe I’ll give them a try this year!

  2. I have 2 new grandchildren and want to make personal christmas stockings for them and decorations to go on their trees

  3. Banana pants and biscuit knickers! Moo baa cluck. Ok, having spouted sillyness I’d say I’d make , well I have no idea but I’m sure having my grubby mitts on them for real would help be come up with a plan.

  4. I just found your site today – pick me 🙂 I started sewing and patchworking a couple of weeks ago. these fabrics could inspire me 🙂

  5. I have a stupidly long list of Christmas makes I like to get done, but need some Christmas fabrics to get started!!! A tree skirt and table runner are top of the list.

  10. Thank you for a great giveaway. My daughter would like a new stocking this year and I think a patchwork one would be fun with this fabric.

  14. I’ve just become the owner of a new Hasqvarna sewing machine and would love to give it a run out making Christmassy things with this pretty fabric.

thanks for the chance to win!

  19. I have lots of things planned to make, stockings, table runner & placemats and gift bags so these would be wonderful.x

  20. I think I’d want to make little christmas tree decorations, like tiny stockings with furry tops, little trees, hmm what else? With the tree and reindeer fabric could maybe cut around the images and stuff them and add cinnamon scent somehow? I’m going to have to start brainstorming ideas! And then actually start on them soon, rather than leave them until the last minute!

  21. I have been practising a christmassy hanging bird decoration so I would make those (need some christmas ribbon to finish them off 🙂

  22. O think I would make some placemats with that fabric, or a table runner, or incorporate it into a tree skirt. Its beautiful.
