Fabric News Update

A few little bits and pieces to inspire you all!

Sarah at Sew Me Happy as opened her Christmas Shop (I see lots of shops with Christmas fabrics availble!) – although this makes me FREAK OUT, I know it makes sense… Better news is that she is offering 15% off everything until the end of this month with the code JUNE15 at checkout. I am NOT going to put Christmas fabrics (although there are some very nice ones!) in this blog post, so here’s a beautiful red bundle Sarah has put together instead:

Over at Avery Homestore, Jo has a fab offer for Flea Market Fancy Fans (Flea Market Fanciers if you like)… She has put together a gorgeous bundle of 9 of the prints from Denyse Schmidt’s lovely collection and is offering them at nearly 20% off:

If you are sewing summer (ha!) dresses for little girls this year then there are some sweet-as-anything girls’ clothes patterns by Izzy and Ivy new in at The Fabric Loft.

I’ve just been having an ooooh and aaahhh over all the lovely new goodies in at My Fabric House. I am a big fan of their bargaintastic linens – they have some great ones in just now. I love this:

The always busy folks over at Frumble have a ton of new Timeless Treasures prints in stock now – here they all are on their Facebook page. I think my favourite is the funky Ice Cream truck fabric (although that might be because ice cream is my favourite thing…). In a total contract to ice cream – Frumble is another shop with Christmas fabrics rolling in.

The latest Sewing Directory giveaway is in conjunction the brilliant Eclectic Maker. You have the chance to win either a bundle of Garden Wall by Laura Gunn or Andalucia by Patty Young – both really wonderful collections. You have until 6pm on 26 June to enter this fab giveaway.

Meanwhile, over at Lily’s Quilts there’s a really cool quilting/Olympics/blogging (it’s complicated!) competition in conjunction with Abakahn. Well worth a look if you are in a designing mood. And, speaking of competitions, designing and Abakahn, there’s also a summer design competition – The Dress Factor (the prize is an amazing sewing machine) going on over at The Sewing Directory. Good luck if you decide to have a go at either or both of those.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who left a comment on my mini-quilt blog post yesterday – I will be replying to all of you later on when I am supervising bath time (!). I was really touched that people took the time to leave me some encouragement. I also wanted to mention that the fabrics I used are from Fair Trade Fabrics:

These handwoven fabrics (which were sent to me as a sample to try) are wonderful to work with. I will blog about them properly when I have done some more work on my mini-quilt (yes, I am going to carry on!).
