There’s a lot going on at The Village Haberdashery this week. First up they are having a voucher giveaway in conjunction with the Sewing Directory (competition closes at 6pm on Tues 1st May). They also have an offer of 15% off DMC embroidery floss with code FLOSS15 when you buy five or more skeins! AND, if that wasn’t enough, to celebrate Earth Day there’s a Flash Sale of 15% off organic fabric with the code EARTH15. So it’s a perfect time to stock up on some of the lovely new Alegria collection from Cloud9. I love this peacock print:

Both of the 15% off offers end today (22nd April).
There’s a promising new online fabric shop that’s a contender for my Big List. The Sewing Boutique has a small but growing selection of fabrics from manufacturers such as Michael Miller and Riley Blake. They also sell ribbons, buttons, haberdashery, felt and vintage finds. Definitely one worth checking out.
Backstitch have the new Oliver + S patterns in, with a very on-trend trench coat design amongst the collection:
There’s also 20% off some of the older, now out of print Oliver + S patterns at Backstitch too.
If you are sewing for kids (using your new Oliver + S patterns!), I recommend a visit to Dots N Stripes. They have some gorgeous new Hilde cottons from Hilco (a German company) in stock, like this pretty cotton poplin:

I’m a bit in danger of turning this post into a pattern news post rather than a fabric news post, but this offer is too good not to tell you about. There’s still time to pop round to Abakahn, where Simplicity patterns are 50% off until the end of this weekend.
There’s a 10% off all fabrics at Simply Solids until April 24th. This includes fabric already on offer, and new Moda Precuts like this layer cake of trendy new collection from Aneela Hooey – A Walk in the Woods:

The sale offer is subject to a minimum spend of £10.
And finally, don’t forget our giveaway with Emma’s Fabric Studio… you have until midnight tonight to enter.
Hope you’ve had as fab a weekend as I have… if I tell you that my Saturday morning involved a trip to this shop, you will see why I had such a great time… But more of that later in the week! Enjoy your Sunday evening…
