Weekly Fabric News Update

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I’ve been busy in the garden this afternoon enjoying the blissful weather (and nursing a slight hangover!), so do forgive me if I’ve missed anything interesting in the fabric world this week…

Over at M is for Make there’s a special offer on this gorgeous bundle:

It’s a great combination that Kate has put together and it’s available with 15% off and free UK shipping until 8pm on Tues March 27. Monsterz by Cloud 9 is also now in store.

Hulu has the lovely Stitch magazine – look at this gorgeous bag on the front! £10 seems like a lot for a magazine, but there is always masses of stuff to absorb and projects to make – I’ve always found it as good as any book for the equivalent price.

Huge congratulations to all at The Sewing Directory where they are celebrating their 2nd birthday. They do a fantastic job!  It’s totally the wrong way round, but their birthday gift to us is a chance to win this rather beautiful sewing machine from Brother:

You have until 6pm Tuesday 3rd April 2012 to enter this one.

Seamstar are having a giveaway in conjunction with the LucyLovesYa blog. You can read more about Courtney (the owner of Seamstar) and her lovely family – so nice to put a face to a name, and have a chance to win a lovely bundle of the Domestic Bliss range of fabrics. I expect it is because I am an unobservant dimwit, but I really struggled to work out where to leave my comment, so here’s the link to the comments page (but do read the original post too).

Quilt Me Happy have 20% off their black Essex linen at the moment. Great for a dramatic quilt binding, or, as Tracey points out, some summer-weight trousers.

Speaking of linens, I owe an apology to Ray Stitch for not including them in my guide to buying linen / linen-cotton blends. I was browsing their lovely shop the other day (still trying to work out what to use to make my Tova top!), and discovered a really nice range of 55%/45% blends.

Over at Quilter’s Cloth they have 20% off Tanya Whelan’s Delilah collection just now. If you’re a fan of these shabby-chic style fabrics then now’s the time to buy.

The Quilt Room have the Northcote collection by Cabbages and Roses on sale at £8.60 per metre.

And finally, you still just have time to enter our voucher giveaway with My Fabric House. This one ends at midnight tonight, the winners will be announced tomorrow.
