Fabric News Update

Chickens at M is for MakeM is for Make have some slightly bonkers but great fun new chicken fabric in and some gorgeous neutral linen blends in too – you can read more about them, and see some of the other goodies that Kate has in store for us later in the year, over on the M is for Make blog. Personally I am very much look forward to the arrival of Washi by Rashida Coleman-Hale (author of the rather nice I Love Patchwork). There’s also still just time to take advantage of the M is for Make weekend offer – there’s 10% off all orders over £50 until 9pm today – just enter ‘Feb’ at checkout.

Fabric Rehab have everyone’s favourite Emergency Budget Bundles back in stock at just £2.50 for a FQs worth of scraps. They’re available in yellow, blue and pink just now. If you’ve got a bit more money to spare, whilst you’re over there, why not check out their mini-bundles. There are masses available right now, and they look fantastic – I was wondering if this cute bundle of Domestic Goddess fabrics would inspire me somehow!!

Mat and Monica over at Frumble are working so hard on their shop, it’s fantastic to see how they are growing from their beginnings last year. As well as their newly revamped website and very active Facebook page, they  now have a new blog – it’s well worth popping round to say hello.

If you’re like me and find plain solids just a little bit dull sometimes, you might want to check out Moda’s range of lovely cross weaves, now available at The Eternal Maker. They come in a great range of colours, and because they are yarn dyed they have a beautiful depth and the fabric changes colour as it moves in the light. If you’re familiar with Kaffe Fassett’s shot cottons (gorgeous!), then you’ll know what I mean. There’s also still loads of goodies in The Eternal Maker sale.

The Fabric Loft are cheering up the beginning of February by giving away a copy of Amy Butler’s Frenchy Bag pattern. All you have to do is have a browse of the shop and choose which 3 fabrics you would use to make the bag if you won. Personally I went for a load of bright red Feedsack prints – I think they would make a great bag for spring. You have until Wednesday to enter this one.

Another very new shop that’s going from strength to strength is Quilt Me Happy. I love Tracey’s brilliant way of photographing a charm pack, it’s so excellent to know exactly what you will be getting. I really appreciate the effort Tracey has gone to here.

Finally, Kat of Domestic Kat has asked me to mention her Travelling Stash giveaway. Pop round to her blog to read all about her fab idea.
