The first big competition is now up and running… you can read the rules over at the forum, but here’s an idea of what’s going on.
The theme is the Four Elements, as in the classical elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air, but also four crafty elements, Beads, Paper, Yarn and Fabric. There’s an overall prize of an £80 Amazon voucher, but there’s also individual prizes for each of the four craft disciplines. All you have to do is design and make something that can be used or worn in line with the themes:
The theme for the Fabric competition is Water, and the prize is a lovely bundle of Amy Butler Daisy Chain fabric with coordinating COTTY threads.
The theme for the Yarn competition is Fire, and the prize is Cath Kidston knitting and crochet kit tins.
The theme for the Paper section is Earth, and the prize is this rather amazing set of Promarkers.
Finally, the theme for the Beads section is (you guessed it!) Air, and the prize is a fantastic silver art clay kit:
Crafteroo is a really friendly, supportive place to chat and share ideas, so come round, say hello, and then get going with your designs! The closing date for the competition is 19 March.
I make it sound so easy don’t I?! I can’t even decide whether to do a crochet project or fabric project…
