First fabric update of 2012

Hi everyone and a very happy 2012 to you! Although no doubt there will be tough times ahead this year, I am sure there will be plenty of beauty, creativity, fun, and friendship to celebrate…

I am sure there will be a lots more sales starting up over the next week, so don’t spend all your money in one shop (woops, I already did…!) – here’s some that I’ve spotted for you:

The sale at The Eternal Maker started back before Christmas (argh, they took me by surprise!), but there’s still some lovely stuff available at excellent prices.

The shop sale at The Quilt Room starts on 9.30am Tuesday, 3rd January. The prices will be on a sliding scale starting at £6.00pm on Tuesday and then reducing by 50p each day – anything left on Saturday will be just £4pm.They also have lots of new Moda collections available for pre-order if you are feeling really keen!

There are further reductions in the Fancy Moon sale, with lots of stunning fabrics on offer. And now with a flat rate £2 delivery charge for the UK, which makes things a lot more affordable.

Doughty’s sale is already up and running, so you’d better pop round there quickly to snap up a bargain.

There’s a very beautiful sale going on at M is for Make – it comes in 2 parts… Part 1) if you enter the code happy when checking out you will receive 20% off already reduced fabrics. Part 2) if you enter the code happier at the check out you will get 15% off any order over £15. The sale is on until 9pm on 3rd Jan, so off you go!

Crafts and Quilts are having a January sale – with 10% off all full yards of quilting fabrics on orders over £10 (excluding plains and muslins).

There are some rather pretty fabrics in the 50% off section of the sale at Abakahn – and there’s 10% off everything in store.

The Cotton Patch Winter Sale will be starting next week (they’re not saying when it comes to the date, but check back from Tuesday 3rd), but just to get us interested there are offers on fabrics from Amy Butler’s Daisy Chain and Midwest Modern collections.

Not a sale exactly, but Blooming Felt are selling off their felt ‘misfits’ at a very bargaintastic price (£2 instead of £3).

There are lots of fabrics (mostly from Michael Miller and Robert Kaufman) with a reduction of 30% at Quality Fabrics 4 U on Ebay. You have to do a lot of scrolling and page clicking to find them, but I think it might well be worth it!

Gorgeous fabrics from My Fabric HouseThere’s not much going on in the way of giveaways, but we can always rely on The Sewing Directory, where there’s a fantastic giveaway going on with My Fabric House – the top prize is a £50 voucher, but there’s 10 prizes in all, so lots of chances to win. All entries must be received by 6pm on Tuesday the 10th January 2012

And, it’s time to give you a little sneak preview of a HUGE giveaway that we’re going to be running here starting in mid-January. It’s going to be a superb antidote to any post-Christmas/winter blues you may have as there’ll be lots of prizes. The brilliant fabric shops that have already confirmed & offered prizes are:

Eclectic Maker
Fabric with Love
Fancy Moon
Gone to Earth
M is for Make
Quilt Me Happy

Not bad eh? There’ll be more details about how it will all work coming soon!
