Decking the halls..

We’ve had a busy afternoon putting up the tree and getting out the decorations from the attic and covering every available surface with them! I’m looking forward to sharing some pics tomorrow. Meanwhile here’s some other proud moments…

Here’s the biscuit Christmas tree I made with my new Christmas tree cutter set from Lakeland – as you can see, icing is not something I have any proficiency in!

We’ve also been making some decorations… this rather fabulous thing is made out of loo roll tubes and pipe cleaners! And it snowed, just to make my photograph extra-effective.

Here are the instructions if you want to have a go.

And finally, my Very Berry Scrappy Christmas Swap makes:

I used Christmas cookie cutter templates and log cabin patchwork to make them. It was fun and I think my partner likes them. I certainly like the gorgeous robin I got from Val – there are more photos on their way.

Hope you are all having a lovely restful and Christmassy Sunday.

  1. Love the christmas cookie tree Ali, I saw that on the front of the lakeland cataglogue myself. Not bad on the icing front, looks kinda rustic in a good way lol!! Seriously though, the log cabin patchwork decorations are fab and I now own one thanks to your very kind generosity and it looks gorgeous.

  2. Very festive missus. I think those icing bits are what we, north of the border, would refer to as ‘dods’, a rather all en-compassing description for wee mounds of stuff lol
