Sunday fabric update

I think this is my last fabric update before Christmas – next weekend will be the official beginning of the Christmas season for us, with our first family visitors, so I hope to be relaxing with a large glass of mulled wine this time next week (mmmmm!)..

In the meantime, there are still a few bargains, offers and discounts out there… or, of course, some lovely gift opportunities…

Cotton Patch FQ gift packSpeaking of which The Cotton Patch have some gorgeous Fat Quarter gift boxes made up of 4m of assorted fabrics and 4 COTTY threads. They look really fab and represent a £10 saving on the items bought separately.

Scrap Stack from Saints and Pinners

There’s some slightly less pricey potential Christmas gifts at Saints and Pinners – they have some fab new Scrap Stacks at £5 per bundle. The fabrics included are between 53x22cm and 20x12cm in size, and as you can see, they’ve been put together with great style. These would make brilliant stocking filler gifts.

You can see the final reductions in the Seamstar winter sale just here. There’s some huge bargains to be had. There’s also still ongoing sales at Fancy Moon and at M is for Make.

This week’s Sunday Stash offer from The Fabric Loft is super-fantastic – with 15% off everything in the shop. Brilliant news if you have last minute gifts to make for Christmas (or am I the only one?!). This offer is available until Thursday 15th December and you need to enter the code XMAS15 when you check out.

Fat Quarterly Community Retreat tickets are on sale now – at £100 for a 2 day pass (2-3 June). I am trying to work out if I can afford it… and if I am brave enough! I would love to hear from any blog readers who are planning to go… it would be so nice to meet you all and it would help me make my mind up about going…

  1. I really want to go to the FQ retreat but the retreat, accomdation & travel are going to come to about £300 for me so it’s not looking likely at the moment 😦 But I have my fingers crossed for a nice lottery or bingo win between now and then. 🙂

Also it’s right before half term so i’d come back knackered from travelling & have to find the energy to amuse my son for the week.

  2. Fab offers as usual, but which is the shop to look at for Maia’s latest request – jersey (to make a dress) with a print consisting of ‘some rose fairies, and a teaset, and cupcakes, and some other things like that’???

  3. I’m still trying to work out if I can justify the money. My Mum is London, so accommodation isn’t a problem, but like you, I’m a little nervous about it. Some of these things that I’ve been too have been fantastic, others haven’t been quite so successful. I’ll have to wait to the new year for budget calculations anyway, so hopefully I’ll have made my mind up by then!

  4. My wallet is ignoring the first part of this post, however I am going to the Fat Quarterly Retreat (early happy birthday to me from mum and dad) I’m lucky because my aunt and uncle live near the centre of London, so I can stay with them, otherwise I’d be struggling with the hotel room to pay for 😦

    1. Yeah, I’m lucky too because accommodation isn’t a problem – I have a few friends in London who I could blag a bed from I am sure. I can even get the SLOW train down there – takes for ever, but is bargaintastic. Want to go but am scared….
