Weekly UK fabric update

Hello! I’m back with my weekly fabric round-up – thanks so much to the people who took time to leave a comment about my update last week – I really appreciated it! Sometimes I’m not sure how useful this weekly round-up is (and it’s not at all good for my bank balance!), so it was really nice to get some feedback.

Kitty Yoshida for Benartex from Doughty's So what’s new?

Well, I like the new range by Kitty Yoshida for Benartex available at Doughty’s. There are some attractive prints in good colour combinations and at just £6 per metre (RRP is £9), it’s pretty tempting.

Something a little bit different and a great way of indulging your fabric addiction whilst keeping your family entertained – why not go to the Abakahn Fun Weekend (20-21 August) in Mostyn, North Wales – it sounds like there will be lots of fun for kids as well as 15% off in store for you. Good idea!  And because it’s such an improvement –  I think that Abakahn’s new website really deserves another mention…

This week’s Sunday Stash offer at The Fabric Loft are these two gorgeous Sandi Henderson Farmer’s Market fabrics:

Sandi Henderson - Farmer's Market at The Fabric Loft

They’re available for £6.50 per metre (rather than £10.50) until tomorrow evening – bargaintastic!

If you’re going to The Festival of Quilts, The Sewing Directory has put together a guide to their favourite places to visit, and a link to a full list of stalls. It makes me feel quite panicky looking at it… I am going to need a very large bag indeed…

Avalon fabrics by Birch - Eternal Maker - Sewing Directory giveaway

The Sewing Directory is also running a great giveaway in conjunction with The Eternal Maker – to celebrate the much-anticpated launch of the new Eternal Maker website.  You have until Tuesday to pop round and enter – the prize is a bundle of gorgeous Avalon fabrics from Birch. If you look closely at the giveaway page you’ll also find a 10% discount code.

And while I’m on the subject, The Eternal Maker’s new site is looking FANTASTIC – it’s now wonderfully easy to navigate and find your favourite fabrics. I love it – and finally feel like I can get to grips with the brilliant fabrics that they have in stock… It’s made a move straight into my top 5 fave shops…

See you next week, if I don’t see you at the Festival of Quilts…

  1. I love your round ups, no matter how bad they are for my wallet! Also, they’re great for finding new shops that I might not have heard of otherwise.

Hope you have a great time at FoQ and that it’s not too overwhelming!

We always love reading your comments... go ahead, say hello!
