A huge thank you to everyone who entered the Fancy Moon giveaway and made it such a huge success – it’s really nice to know that I’ve newly introduced such a great shop to some of you. I made the draw this afternoon – after excluding entrants who had not included an email address (so sorry!) there were 110 comments:
– and the winner was the writer of comment number 62 – Emma! Congrats Emma! Lots of you will know Emma from her excellent blog – It’s All About the Fabric – so you know that her 2 metres of fabric will be going to a very good home.
And the good news is that for the rest of this month, Very Berry readers can get a 10% discount at Fancy Moon with the voucher code ‘veryberry’. So all of you who are disappointed – why not cheer yourself with a bit of fabric indulgence!
I knew this post would need a bit of colour (random.org should really brighten up its act!) so I worked hard to finish this little pincushion today – a good excuse to show it off!
The yarn is organic cotton from Mirasol and the pincushion stuffing is kept in check with some very excellent white Eco-fi craft felt from my friend Jenny at The Felted Rainbow. I’ll be added this to my Folksy shop later on this evening, and there’s more to come… crochet fans will know the addictive appeal of the granny square!! Oh, and by the way – the granny square pattern I used for the centre of the pincushion is written by the brilliant Lucy of Attic24.
