Hulu Crafts has Quilting Arts Stitch Magazine now in stock – it looks like a very inspiring read. These magazines are pretty pricey (partly, of course, because they’re from the USA) but I think they’re worth every penny for the number of projects and other useful information they include. This one is subtitled The Color Issue – and explores exciting & interesting colour and print combinations… Colour is one of the trickiest subjects (at least, for me it is!) in sewing, especially patchwork, so I’m even more tempted than usual by this one.
M is for Make has some brilliant bargains in their sale, including Anna Maria Horner voiles, Kokka, Alexander Henry and Lecien. Kate also has the fantastic new 100% organic collection, Pick a Bunch by Nancy Mims of Mod Green Pod. These are gorgeous prints in a lovely, versatile selection of colours – you can read more at the M is for Make blog.
Simply Solids is also having an Easter sale – there’s 10% off all fabrics, with 15% off if you spend over £50. All the clearance fabrics are £3 (or less) per 1/2 metre. To make it even more worthwhile there’s also free postage on all UK orders.
There’s lots of lovely tempting stuff in the Cotton Patch newsletter (here’s the pdf) which arrived in the post last week. They have a new Retro and Funky section on their website – which is really useful & make the site more browsable for those of us who are Retro and/or Funky!
Amongst the gorgeous new fabrics new in, I absolutely adore these bold, organic designs called Wild Garden by Dan Bennett for Rowan. From the left to right these are: Pollen, (multi); Eggs, (red); Bellflower (red).
These may prove to be irresistible…
And finally a couple of reminders and an anticipatory squeak of excitement:
Don’t forget to sign up for the Very Berry Spring Scrap Swap (cheer up your fabric stash for spring!) – you have until Wed 20th to join in.
Leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning my little patchwork owl pin cushion – you’ve got until midnight today (hurry up!).
Look out for a Eggciting Easter Competition (please excuse feeble pun – there’ll be lots more where that came from) that we’re going to be running with the fabulous Prints to Polka Dots. It’ll be starting very very soon…
