I’m definitely here… just a bit quiet

I was hoping to review Love…Quilting today, but because I was a bit off-colour over the weekend, I’ve not been in a fit state to stretch my analytical skills… so I thought I’d share a few pics of some crochet I’ve been doing. By the way, if you’re interested in buying a copy of Love…Crochet, which I reviewed last week, the publishers have a 50% off sale on craft books at the moment. There are bargains to be had..

Anyway, here’s the results of my recent crochet jag..

Crochet wrist cuff with hand embroidered button

Wrist cuff, with hand-embroidered button. First go at doing a button like this – it’s SUCH fun to do…  The cuff is made with my free pattern, previously published here.

Crochet wallet with Art Nouveau style button

Cashmere tweed pouch, with a Rennie MacIntosh style button (bought a couple of years ago from Carol’s Crafts). This is an improvised pattern, which as usual, I failed to write down…

Crochet wrist cuff

Another wrist cuff using my pattern, this time with a little bit of a tweak so that I could use 2 of these cute bubble buttons from Ray Stitch.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re a bit under the weather, I can sympathise. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
(Love the pouch by the way, why is it the best work we do is always improvised, and subsequently almost impossible to duplicate!)

    1. Thanks Linnhe, hope you’re well on the way to recovery too.

Know what you mean about doing improvised work – I love to just go with the flow, and writing stuff down is always a massive interruption.

We always love reading your comments... go ahead, say hello!
