A Midweek Fabric Update

Just a quick post tonight because I have a poorly shoulder and need to pack in the typing for an evening… I’ve spotted a couple of bits of news around the place that I thought those of you in the market for new fabric or prizes will be interested in.

Bag Making Bible Giveaway

Over at The Sewing Directory there are 3 copies of the Bag Making Bible by the highly-talented Lisa Lam up for grabs. You need to enter the competition by 22nd Feb.

A Couple of Sales

Doughty’s have 10% off the Fabric Freedom range until 21 Feb. There’s some lovely fabrics from this manufacturer, from the groovy Notting Hill and Deco designs to the more traditional William Morris and Westminster ranges. There’s a different code for each range – see this newsletter to see all the codes.

Prints to Polka Dots are offering a massive 25% off ALL stock for the next 72 hours, the voucher code is MEGA.

And finally…

Do you Pinterest? I am utterly addicted to it myself, it’s such a great way to share beautiful design, recipes, books, films…  and all the other things that take your fancy if you are a blog and Flickr magpie like I am…  You can click on images on the web and then pin them to your boards on Pinterest. It’s a great way of keeping your ideas and inspirations in some semblance of order. Love it! You can find me here if you want to befriend me there.  This is one of the quilt pics from my ‘Quilting Inspiration’ pinboard on Pinterest – it’s one of the quilts created by the women of the isolated community of Gee’s Bend in Alabama. You can read more about the history of this community, and their amazingly beautiful quilts, here and here.

  1. I heard a lot about pinterest and like the idea of a place to pin my inspiration. Tried to register last week but on waiting list. Can’t wait to get in 🙂
