New Fabrics and a Giveaway

Celtic Fusion Fabrics have some lovely new fabrics in, including some from the new MOD collection from House by Annette Tatum – you can read more on their blog. I particularly like the Tammis Keefe repro fabrics from Michael Miller – how cute is this alligator print? All profits from the sale of these fabrics go to fund cancer research.

M is for Make have some of the My Folklore collection from Lecien. It’s very very pretty, and as Kate says, some of it is very Cath Kidstone at a fraction of the price. I like the My Folklore Flower Border particularly, and I already have (gloat, gloat!) some of the My Folklore Forest, with its cute squirrels and toadstools. Kate also has some new additions to her stock of Japanese sewing books and is planning a Japanese sew-along, so pop around to the M is for Make blog for more info.

Fabric Rehab are celebrating the arrival of Melody Miller’s new collection, Ruby Star Rising, for Kokka, with a FQ bundle giveaway. Pop round to the Fabric Rehab blog for the chance of winning some of this funky fabric – the closing date for signing up is 18 Feb. If you want to read more about these groovy prints then Melody Miller’s blog is really worth a visit. You can get some fabulous ideas and inspiration, seeing what other people have made with the designs.

A Sale

There’s a sale on at Rag Rescue with 10% off until Saturday 19th Feb. It’s a fabulous place  for vintage fabrics and haberdashery, with really affordable scrap bags, stash bags and larger pieces of fabric too. I think my favourite stuff in the shop is all the wonderful ribbons and lace. Such a lot of loveliness to choose from. And there’s all the more reason to go and check it out at the moment.

  1. Thanks for the link to the Rag Rescue sale. I try to avoid buying new materials (which is not easy with all the lovely fabrics out there) and old thread is one item I don’t come across very often. I’ve snapped some up and can’t wait til it’s delivered. My only concern is that, being old, it might be weak in places but if it’s fine, I’ll keep going back for more! I tried to buy some lovely braid too but procrastinated too long and someone else jumped in 😦 I’ve learnt my lesson and next time I’ll go for it!!
