Midweek fabric update

Simply Solids

Simply Solids has some yummy new stuff in including Moda pre-cuts – La Petit Ecole, Maison de Garance, Origins, Hideaway & Sugar Pop(see pic for one of the lovely Sugar Pop Fabrics).  And great news – look out for a Very Berry giveaway coming up with Mandy from Simply Solids in February.

Fabrics Plus

Fabrics Plus has had a great big revamp. They got in touch to tell me that they are now offering a much bigger range of patchwork and quilting fabrics, and stocking a large selection of waddings, backings, calicos,  patchwork books, accessories and other notions. They also have a new loyalty card system – read more about the scheme here. Currently, until 28th February 2011, they are offering 20% off everything, just use the code FABFEB01 at checkout.

Quilter’s Cloth

This lovely shop is open again. It’s looking really good – absolutely tons of fabrics (Makower, Moda, Lecien, Amy Butler, Tanya Whelan, Wendy Slotboom (see right) amongst many more), fabric packs, quilting tools and notions. You can search by fabric colour, pattern, collection, house or designer. There’s also a design wall feature that allows you to view fabrics in your basket next to each other – it’s a really useful idea, which I hope will be taken up by other sites too.

Coming Soon…

If you are into quilting, sewing, and lovely fabrics in general, and don’t already know about it, then I really urge you to visit the brilliant True Up blog and subscribe. It’s a brilliant source of information about all sorts of things textile and always a fabulous read. That’s how I found out about this gorgeous new collection called Cut Out and Keep by Heather Moore (aka Skinny La Minx) for Cloud9. They’re gorgeous 50s style fabric in very modern colourways that will be available from the late spring in the USA. Can’t wait for them to arrive in the shops over here.
