I am dashing to get a little post done this evening whilst my boys are in the bath… Sandy and I are off out to the very haunted Leopard Inn in Burslem to see the very wonderful folk fabulousness that is Spiers and Boden this evening. Can’t wait… but it does mean that we are rushing around trying to get sorted, kids bathed, fed and in bed before the babysitter arrives…
So here are just a few things that have caught my eye over the last week.
An Interesting Shop….
I’m really intrigued to know if anyone has used www.myfabrics.co.uk? Despite the UK domain name, they are based in Germany. They appear to have an enormous range of fabrics – including 100% cottons which have potential for quilting and other crafting and also loads of inexpensive dressmaking fabrics. I am hesitating to recommend them or add them to the list when I don’t know anything about them, but am considering trying them out, just as an experiment. If they are any good then they could be a great place to buy from – delivery charges are around £5 (flat rate), which isn’t bad at all, and stands comparison with sites based in the UK. Hmmmm….
If, like me, you are still just planning your crafting for the Christmas season, then it’s definitely worth checking out the special holiday edition of the The Fat Quarterly which is now available it’s only $5 and it looks to be full of some brilliant ideas for gifts and decorations.
You should also be looking out for a series of Christmas craft tutorials coming to you soon from The Sewing Directory.
There’s a Christmas crafting master list at Sew Mama Sew – a whole mass of links which is well worth an explore.
