A New Shop for the Big List
Ange who blogs here at Sew Mental Mama, has recommended a shop for the Big List of UK Fabric Shops. I’ve had a look round at Dots N Stripesand I’m really impressed. If you sew clothes for kids then you should take a look because they stock fabrics, patterns and supplies from Farbenmix, Mamu Designs, Ottobre and Studio Tantrum. I’ve never made clothes for my kids but have to say that I’m pretty inspired by these adorable patterns. I love all the gorgeous fabrics too – they’ve got some great fleeces, printed corduroys, stripy jerseys and lovely cottons. They also have fabrics for women’s clothes too. Being a mum of 2 boys who are particularly choosy about their clothes I love the fact that there is a specific section for fabrics for boys.
A Couple of Offers
I love the Happy Camper collection – if you love cute fabrics in bright pastels and primaries then you’ll love it too. I’d really like to make some tent curtains for our new tent with this cool print which is rather boringly called Scenic. But husband cringed when I suggested it, so I’ll put that one on hold for now…
American Jane is designed by Sandy Klop for Moda. There’s a new collection every 6 months, so there’s always something new to appeal to you. The newest collection is called Punctuation (the Quilt Room have got that too) – it’s great fun and would be particularly fab for kids’ rooms I think.
