Hi! Welcome to Very Berry Handmade. Thanks so much for visiting!
Very Berry Handmade is mostly written by me, Ali, with occasional contributions from my other half, Sandy. Having lived in Sheffield, Cambridge, Liverpool and London, we’ve now pitched up in north Staffordshire in the UK, not a million miles from where we grew up. We have lovely twin sons who are home-schooled, and we both work from home too.
Our family life is peaceful, but varied and fun. I do lots of sewing, crochet and baking, and these are the main themes here at Very Berry, but I also have a fledging business selling Liberty Tana Lawns – that you’ll find here at Very Berry Fabrics. You’ll also find us writing about camping, the natural world, our garden, and anything else that takes our fancy.
I don’t take advertising on my blog (in fact I pay WordPress a small annual fee to stop you being subjected to banner adverts and the like), but I do sometimes accept fabric, yarn, books and patterns from shops or other suppliers for review or to use in my sewing or crochet – I will always make this clear. I don’t work with shops/suppliers that I have had bad experiences with, or that I have heard bad reports of from other people. Everything on this blog is my honest opinion!
