New year, new skills for you – a giveaway

Today I’d like to welcome one of my favourite craft entrepreneurs, Ruth, of Quincy Lampshades, to tell you about a special offer she has for Very Berry readers.

Quincy Lampshades

You’ve had enough of boring lampshades. Now it’s time to make your own. Create home decor with the fabric you adore.

Quincy Lampshade’s new step-by-step video showing you how to make lampshades is like a one-to-one tutorial where everything is done right before your eyes. Divided into helpful sections like ‘Fabrics to avoid’, ‘How to decide what size lampshade to make’ and ‘PVC – How to work out the length and the width needed’, you can skip around the course, pause it, re-play it, download the supplementary files, even ask the tutor questions as you go and leave notes for yourself.

Bought a kit that had a pre-cut piece of PVC and just enough double sided tape? ‘But my lampshade could only be made at a set height’ and ‘It didn’t turn out too neat’. PUT THAT RIGHT with this video – learn the fundamentals of lampshade making. Clear. Comprehensive. Relaxed. The video is packed with tips to help you get that professional finish (yup, I really does give away my lampshade secrets).

Hosted and purchased via How to make lamp shades the video costs $29 (that’s approx £19). At 44-minutes long, you can watch it as many times as you like, at the speed that you want, wherever and whenever you want. You can buy lampshade making supplies and packs from Quincy Lampshades. Everything you need to redecorate your home with lampshades at a fraction of the cost. Put your fabric stash to good use. Make presents for loved ones. Create a look you love.

  • Pack Grand has everything you need to make 7 lampshades, including 3 x 30cm dia ringsets, 2 x 25cm ringsets & 2 x 20cm ringsets
  • Pack Large has everything you need to make 5 lampshades, including 1 x 40cm dia ringset (ideal for standard lamps), 2 x 30cm dia ringsets & 2 x 20cm ringsets
  • Pack Mini has everything you need to make 5 lampshades, including 3 x 30cm dia ringsets & 2 x 20cm ringsets

Each pack includes 3 rolls of 50m double sided tape: 3mm, 9mm and 12mm. Plus enough PVC to make all the lampshades (provided you cut it accordingly to guidelines).

Just think what you could do!

I’ve been able to check out Ruth’s video, and I can tell you that it is absolutely brilliant – it’s totally clear, thorough and professional. The good news is that I have 10 voucher codes to give away which will allow you to use this video completely free! All you need to do, to be in with a chance of winning, is leave a comment on this blog post by midnight (GMT) on Sunday. I will let the winners know on Monday. Good luck!

In addition, you can also take a pic of your least favourite lampshade, post it on the Quincy Lampshades Facebook page and you will get 50% discount voucher for the video.

Thank you for the chance. Our old lampshades are faded anyway and now a bit bashed courtesy of the movers storing them under boxes of books so this is on the list of projects I have been investigating. It would be soooo helpful xx
