Lu from Found in Keswick got in touch a while ago to ask to interview me as part of her really interesting Stalking Success series about handmade sellers who are doing ok (ok-ish, in my case!). I was very flattered (I think I was having a sale at the time so briefly made it into the Folksy top 20!!), so of course, I agreed! You can now read the interview on her blog… I’ve also taken the opportunity to spread some Very Berry Fabric love about the place, and am giving away some gorgeous Liberty Tana Lawn…
So if you are interested in reading about the stuff I do to get my businesses noticed, and in signing up to win these bee-yoo-ti-ful fabrics, then pop round to Lu’s lovely blog. Remember – to be in with a chance of winning the lovely Liberty, you have to leave a comment on Lu’s blog!

The other iron I have in the fire just now is compiling a list of the loveliest shops to buy haberdashery, stitching and needlecraft goodies. It’s going to be one of my Buyer’s Guides…
Here’s the very beginnings of a list…(just a list of names at the moment), but if you have any that you can recommend and would like to add, then please leave a comment on this post, or on the list page. Remember they MUST be UK based and have an online shop. Thanks for all your help, as ever.

Just to let you know that I’ve received my order from JJ Needles and was very pleased with the service!
Thanks for letting me know!
I’d second adding The Village Haberdashery and I’d also consider adding JJ needles – I’ve just put in my first order after a friend recommended them…I’ll let you know how I get on!
I love your list – I’ve found some really great shops through it! How about adding The Village Haberdashery? A great selection of modern fabrics, lovely yarn and great notions.
Thanks for taking the time to compile the list – you’re fab!
Can I reccommend my dear friend Jen’s online shop? Stitch-me-Lane fabrics! It was because of a give away you were running with her that I first started reading your lovely blog last summer. She has lovely, quirky fabrics and an increasing line of ribbons and haberdashery. Thanks.
I love all your lists, I’ve used them to help find shops so many times! My favorite shop at the moment is http://www.saintsandpinners.co.uk I’ve used them a few times lately and found their customer service, delivery and products to be fab! I’d totally recommend them for your list!
Very useful list Ali, as usual. I went over to read all about you and entered a comment this morning, before anyone else had commented even but it wasn’t published. I tried again a few hours ago but that wasn’t published either. I don’t know why it didn’t make it. It was a nice comment!
Forget the above. It has now been published!!!
