Bungle Jungle Giveaway

One of the lovely things about blogging about sewing is that you get to know lots of lovely fabric shop owners. I’ve done a couple of giveaways with Alice from Backstitch before, and she’s always a pleasure to  work with (and to buy from, for that matter!).

I’ve watched Backstitch go from strength to strength in the 2 years or so that I’ve been blogging here at Very Berry. It’s now one of *the* places to go for patterns, and the custom bundles that Alice puts together are just gorgeous. The woman has an eye for fabrics that just work, and she is absolutely excellent with coming up with great names (many of them cocktail based!) for them too… Mandrintini anyone?

So, having said all that, is it surprising that I jumped at the chance when Alice offered me a Bungle Jungle Bundle (try saying that after a couple of mandrintinis!) to give away? Not only is Alice a fab person with a fab shop, these are some seriously cute fabrics:

Your prize, if you are lucky enough to win, will be 9 Fat Quarters. Here’s a closer a look…

The Rules

1. Leave a comment on this post – if you like you can tell us what you might make with the fabric, but as usual, it’s fine just to say ‘PICK ME!’.
2. Subscribe to the Backstitch newsletter and leave a SECOND COMMENT on this blog post to tell us that you have (or that you already are a subscriber).
3. Follow the Backstitch blog (or add it to your blog reader) and leave a THIRD comment on this blog post to tell us about it.
4. If you try and squeeze 1,2 and 3 into one comment then I am afraid you will only get one chance to win, it gets too complicated for me to count otherwise!
5. This giveaway is only open to people who are in the UK and Europe, so please don’t enter if you are elsewhere.
6. I will announce the winner next Saturday, the 8th of September, so get your comments in before midnight on Friday 7th.

Good Luck!

  3. SO cute! I would make things for my little boy, maybe a quilt and cushion? Could be used as a playmat and for sleeping :)

  4. And now I learned how to use a blog reader. And added backstitch. Yay for new skills, even if I don’t win the yummy yummy fabric!

  5. Fabulous fabric designs for childrens items. It would be a shame to chop up most of them too much so little cushions or bags would be great.

  7. Backstitch is such a great shop and I was lucky enough to meet Alice at the festival of quilts and she is fab! I’d probably make a baby quilt – I seem to be making about one every other month at the moment and good fabrics for boys are hard to find. This would be perfect!

  8. Look at those gorgeous green elephants!!! I just love elephants, obviously they look like they would make a great baby quilt, but I would selfishly make myself some fabric baskets out of them instead. Thank you for the giveaway.

  9. I’ve subcribed to the Backstitch newsletter… Adorable fabrics…I would love to make tiny pillow covers for the dollies for my daughters

  10. These fabrics are just so cute! I think I would have to make a roomy bag for me to show off all those animals!

  11. Well hello :-) There is a new boy due on The Hilltop in a few months and this would make an ace Welcome to the World quilt.

  12. I would make something for my grandsons room – he has outgrown fawn I feel and these bright colours would lend themself to a much more little boy room. x

  13. Hmm, baby quilt? Or a floor cushion? Or maybe zippy pouches and little kit bags? I’d certainly have fun deciding :)
    Thanks for the lovely giveaway!

  14. I wouldn’t make anything with the fabric because I would be too busy loving those elephants and being afraid of cutting one in half. Thanks for the chance(s) in the giveaway!

  15. Love the fabric, love the giveaway. I’d definitely make a baby quilt or mini cushions for the cot. Not that I have a baby yet but fingers crossed we are going to start trying next year, eek!!

  16. What lovely fabric! Some of our good friends had a daughter just over a month ago and her nursery is jungle themed. Those fabrics would be great to make her something with!

  17. Ha – of course I want you to pick me … I just don’t have high hopes… such lovely fabric, I think I need some cheer up chocoalte.

  18. Love them…. I’d probably look at them, stroke them, arrange them and rearrange them for a few months before the right project popped into my head.

We always love reading your comments... go ahead, say hello!
