Over at the Crafteroo forum we have been having great fun, over the last few months, putting together a new quarterly online craftzine to cover the costs of hosting the forum and to provide funds for amazing prizes for our competitions. It has been a really great experience so far – I am getting so much pleasure out of working collaboratively with fellow designer-makers to bring together a great collection of tutorials and articles.
Issue 3 is just out and has masses of gorgeous stuff for your delectation – there are 18 craft tutorials (18!) and masses of other inspirational articles including Top Sewing Machine tips (by lovely moi), a Bloggy Round-up, the brilliant ongoing Crafteroo Mystery Parcel Craft Challenge (always fascinating reading!), an article about the Toy Society, a feature on male crafters, Folksy finds, and much more…
The tutorials are a brilliant mix. There’s stitching – my own simple potholder pattern and a gorgeous mummy penguin by LucyKate Crafts and there’s also this wondrous cross stitch pattern designed by my extremely talented blogging friend Megan of Maximum Rabbit Designs.

And there’s so much more! The wonderful button notebook project you can see on the front cover, and instructions to make your own patterned buttons by PennyDog. There’s a couple of crochet patterns (an adorable sunshine toy from Caroline and a cute-as-anything crochet baby hat by our very own Crafty Ninja), a gorgeous wire-wrapped seaglass necklace tutorial by the fabulous Claire, a make your own bath melt (these would make such fabulous quick gifts) project from the lovely Suz at Somerset Garden.
All in all, it’s an absolute bargain at just £1.50! Just pop round to the Crafteroo forum to find out how to buy. And why not stop by the forum too and say hello – we’d love to see you. We’re a supportive, friendly lot of folks… I’ve met so many virtual friends there, it’s been brilliant. And we’re always looking for new people to get involved in bringing even more brilliant crafty projects to the next issue of our mag. Go on, you know you want to….
