I got my Mouthy Stitches parcel today, which is pretty amazing because it came all the way from Marg in Queensland, Australia. She must have been incredibly organised! I am so touched by all the thought that has gone into this pouch – it’s a paper-pieced rainbow wonder!
I love it so much – I feel pretty lucky. What you can’t tell from the photo is that it is fabulously roomy – so I plan to use it for my quilting rulers and templates. It will be perfect for that.. Stupidly I forgot to take a picture of the back, which is annoying because it’s just as pretty. Here’s Marg’s pic in the mean time.
And I got a delicious pile of scraps too:
Another lovely rainbow! Can’t wait to make use of these…
Thanks so much Marg!

wow that’s lovely, what is paper-pieced?
Hi Sasha – it’s patchwork done in the traditional English style – where you wrap fabric round paper templates and then sew them together before removing the paper… Here’s a tute: http://bearpawandbearpaw.blogspot.com/2011/07/english-paper-piecing-tutorial.html
Oh it’s gorgeous! Lucky you
